Welcome to our place.
Our home is a cute little unit
(little being the operative word) in the sunny beachside suburb
of Glenelg in Adelaide, Australia. We love living here. Only two
streets from a magnificent beach and less than 10 minutes walk
from Jetty Road which is a hub of restaurants, cafes and shops.
It's close enough to go out for noodles when we don't feel like
cooking.
As our place was built in 1969,
it has some rather unusual features. The mantlepiece is a highlight,
as are all the decorative cupboard doors in the kitchen and hallway.
We have managed to replace the "spaceship" of a light
fitting in the lounge with some far more elegant lights, but the
apricot bath, toilet and sink will haunt us for a while yet. The
terrazzo flooring in the bathroom has to be seen to be believed!

Still the renovations have been fun, and the result has been fantastic.
In fact the renovations were so much fun, naturally once that was finished we had to move onto the garden.
Which has now been turned from a hot empty barren backyard, apart from the 'Ugly Tree' into a little
oasis for us to relax and bbq in. The transformtion has even touched the Ugly Tree, which when
faced with competition from younder sexier trees has finally decided to blossom forth.
